Don't really see any improvements from the S3. Just some crappy additions that probably won't even work right (like the eye tracking thingy and the new screen that's supposed to adjust the contrast n' stuff automatically)

my brother has an iPhone 5, and it suits his needs fine. He prefers Android in certain ways, but iOS in others. he works as an App developer.

What the hell is flash even needed for these days anyways, especially on a friggin phone? Most video services that have videos actually worth watching have their own apps, so that Flash really isn't needed.

And I don't really see any of the Samsung's phones features, that the iPhone doesn't have, useful in any way.

Before clueless people start arguing over phones with needless insulting as opposed to I'd like to throw a few points for and against both from my own standing point of view;

This is not Samsung Phone vs. Apple phone discussion. From a physical design point of view, they are both actually not that bad and have plenty of money poured into designing the ergonomics of the physical handset.

This is once again, an OS discussion.

Let's kill of the fan-boy'ism now and actually bring some real information to the table (I'm an android user btw);

Apple;

+ Unified UI Design. Let's face it, android apps have identity issues that are sometimes cringe worthy
+ Just works, a monkey could use it, crashes are fairly rare
+ By Adobe not supporting Flash on them, iOS is Encouraging the death of flash, this is good because Adobe, a company (companies are evil people) manage flash, and this of course helps spark html5 which means we can enjoy our multimedia without Adobe deciding which devices we can see it on.
+ OS Designed for the parts.
+ Closed source, pay to develop apps mean only quality apps
- Closed source, pay to develop apps mean big corporations win and startup individuals like yourself well.. don't.(bad, because with dwindling new developers nobody would know how to make apps anymore)
- Closed source, it's never your phone. It's apple's phone. You can't change that icon, the text below it, how your phone functions, change its appearance. You just take what your given and are forced to just accept it.
- Discourages learning. A smart phone that plays dumb for the user is a phone that encourages a technophobe to stay a technophobe. It's like encouraging a smoker to keep smoking (in my nerdy view anyhow )

+ Open source, you have just as much a right to make an app as a big corporation.
+ Open source, it might start as googles phone, but google has left the hood purposely unlocked for you. Your free to tinker, change how everything looks and behaves. The beauty of a phone that already works but says 'heck i'm your phone change me how ya like' as opposed to 'you either feel i look good or you suck it up'
+ Encourages learning. Ok, yes the technophobes amongst us are going to read this and shiver and hiss, but it's true that in a world where we rely on technology more and more, being able to fix technology with your own code is a pretty good skill to have.
+ Configurable. An android can be as expensive or cheap as you want it to be
+ Adobe supports it. Huzzah?
- Identity issues in the UI. Because anyone can code for it in any which way they like, we end up with everyone trying out there weird and wacky UI's which means that consistency is low.
- Open source often means more people working on it more potential parts involved in it, more people,more parts = more bugs = more crashes = more frustration
- Adobe supports it. You don't know it yet but you want Adobe dead so that the internet is tied down by 1 less company.
- OS not designed for the parts
- Alot of 'crapware' made because of stupid number of people who can just develop any old garbage.

Lamp was just being a trifle pernickety about your use of double negatives.

The phone looks nice, but I'm not really a phone person. I still roll with a really old phone, probably from 2005. I only use it for emergencies though so a flashy one isn't really needed. Regarding the eye gadget in the phone, seems to be a gimmick, I guess it's going to be buggy as hell and not quite there yet. It's a good idea though.
