New PC help

Hai, Been saving up for a while and will hopefully have around £800-900 by the time crimbo comes. Anyways hoping to spend it on a new pc and been looking, best I could I find was this;

PROCESSOR - Intel® Core™ i7-2600 Processor (3.40GHz, 8MB)

Was wondering if I can could anything like this but cheaper?

Would be better if I could a get a good pc for around £800 though!

Perhaps you dont need the i7. I went for the i5 2500k instead of the i7 and cant say I have missed any. With the 2500k you can overclock aswell which can be nice in 3 years when the warranty has ended.

Graphiccard wise I think you get more bang for buck if you go for a factory overclocked version instead of AMD or Nvidias stock ones.

Do you need a Bluray reader? If not, you will get off cheap with another optical drive.

Yeah what crille said, your better of with the i5 and getting a SSD you would see a significant improvement with a SSD in your system.

Where you buying it from and what sorta prices are the parts individually? Easier to find cheaper options if we know what site your getting it from.

Ye SSD is awsome to have If money is tight then you could go for a small SSD and have windows on it to get fast boot time and then the 2TB for all your other stuff

Here is a comparison of a few diffrent processors in BF3 with highest settings on. Green is average rate and red is lowest rate. The i5 and i7 arent that diffrent If I had to choose between i7 or SSD then I would defenatly go for SSD.

I built my first computer some months ago, was easier then I thought Wasnt confident that I could build one myself but after watching some guides on youtube I understood that it aint space science

True, but as long as he does some research before he attempt's to build one then he should be fine, but then again it is mikee

It's like a jigsaw puzzle to an extent, you can see which parts go where but you save your self some cash building yourself it's also fun knowning you've built it you can upgrade it yourself in the future too if you ever need too..

Just take it easy, step for step, make a checklist on things you have to connect and such. It isnt that hard. A mate of mine studies Economics, and even he managed to build his own PC.

What Johan said, you don't have to build it in 30minutes, just take as long as you want tbh and make sure its all done correctly. Found some stuff on a website you mite wanna check as it add's up to £200 cheaper. Anyone else feel free to add/take away some of the stuff I post Not too sure on the PSU but can be changed.

Reason I choose scan is just purely my choice. Only 30minute drive for me and I find them to be the best for what I get.

Speaking Savy and I dont really need to spend £800-900 because I wont use most of it.

Don't really need 2TB as I currenlty only have 300GB and that's nowhere near full ect
