Does your mother want her car lowered, or are you doing it just because you can?

If your changing the rims too, the ones this JSW has look fitting.

She jokingly entered into a coilover giveaway saying she wanted her car lower than mine and sure enough she won! She said we'll lower it for summer then take them back off for winter.

Those are stock 21st century beetle wheels!

Maaad. Obviously the rest of the bay is less mad but the valve cover was only the first bit of tweaking this area of the car.

Also checked and adjusted the valve clearances while at it so it purrs like a kitten now.

That's pretty much what a classmate did with his Integra, his engine is clean as heck though.

So, we had the Dutch Mighty Car Mods meet today. I can tell you one thing. It was awesome.

I arrived at the meeting point early, and shortly after 2 german friends arrived aswell. Not even 5 minutes later we had our blue friends visiting us as they suspected our german friends from some robbery that happend yesterday, on the same place, with also 2 germans. So.. After we convinced them that these Germans weren't going to harm a fly, they left to return half a hour later again because people were complaining about the DAF driving around and the Dodge Challenger making noise. Going good so far.

So, more people arrived and we set off. I drove this:

Wich pretty much ended up standing near the road, like this:

It dripped oil, it made weird noises, it didn't even crank after a while. Conclusion.. Dead. Only good thing was that I rented it, but still sad it had to die on me. I swear, these cars are so much fun to drive. Driving 80, is a real challenge. Everything starts shaking, rattling, and it feels like you're actually speeding alot (while the top speed of the car is just a bit over 100km/h)
