Automatic file movement?

Hi guys,

I currently use an external hard drive to store all my stuff on instead of the HDD in the computer, but I still run LFS straight off the hard drive, is there any kind of program that will as soon as it detects new files/changed files it will automaticlly move a copy of all of the files to my external for backup?

If im not wrong, you can make rules, and set timers etc, so that your files only get moved whenever you ask the program to.
