To be fair for new users that don't instantly find the rules or even if they do, it is quite hard to judge what is acceptable or not.

There are quite a lot of multiplayer servers that allow offensive or as you would call sick jokes, with hardly anyone taking offence.
If some of them go beyond the taste of what is acceptable they usually tell you and leave it at that.

A lot of people do think what they say on the internet, it is just that sometimes you need a hint in the right direction.
