Basic Training - sandal
Training Information:
Took place on: 16/5/14 Trainer(s) Present: Connor [T] Assistance Present: Lewis [CA] Lead Trainer: Connor [T] Good Points: Your car control was good throughout the training. Your handling of harsh situations was good, when you didn't know the exact manoeuvre to use, you were sensible and safe in your choice. Your PITs were good at the start of the chase which showed that you could do them, the pressure got to you a little. Your map awareness and your general awareness of the suspect was acceptable, this will improve with experience however. You actually performed an advanced manoeuvre; J turn block, which was really encouraging to see from a new cop! Improvements: Try not to burn your clutch too much, keep your movement smooth and relaxed and it'll make chases a lot simpler. Your set was quite good, just be careful with your tires, although they did seem to be at optimum temperature for most of the chase. Regarding your awareness; as I said this will improve with experience but in the meantime, just try to stay relaxed. Don't panic and pay close attention to where the suspect is going, don't get caught out by any of their 'tricks' and pay attention to your surroundings so as you don't hit a barrier. Your PITs were a little off at times, just try and stay calm when performing a PIT manoeuvre. Try to keep control of your PITs afterwards and don't spin yourself out, remember to always aim for their rear wheel arch, this will be key to how you handle the PIT after the suspect had spun out. There is no need to swing massively into the suspect, just try to keep it smooth and controlled. All these mistakes were very minor, as you are a new cop I wanted to give you a lot of things to work on to improve you even more! Notes: Very well done for a new cop. Feel free to apply for Advanced Training if you wish. Authorized by Luke ![]() Congratulations, you have passed Basic Training. Thanks! The [TC] Training Team |
