Ah, this is making more sense now!
One last thing though, his reason was "drifting" although my actions contribute to careless driving, I've always thought that the reason has to be what the actual fine is for? It's like saying that I could fine someone for hitting a wall under careless driving but then state that the fine is for drifting. Should the cop not have had better reasons in this situation?

 
