IMHO, Its practical, cheap, good to start with.

Why go and buy the most expensive, professionally used gadget when you dont need too? Save your money, go for a cheaper option that can be just as good, and if you want to, Upgrade later.

My next thing was going to be, where are you putting it, and if nobody likes it or views it in Youtube or something, you will loose interest and ditch it, There goes a $500 (AUD) product.

GoPro isn't exactly industry standard, it's a consumer item...
