RE: Smooth camera movements
Yeah, the Shift+U camera is really easy to use. Once you found out how to operate it, it's easy to create smooth videos.
The most important controls are: -View panning with right mouse button -Movement along the track with cursor keys -Moving along the view axis with mouse wheel -Rotating the view around a target by holding both mouse buttons -Changing FOV with 4,5,6,7 keys The "view smoothing" setting can help you making freehand movements less shaky. If you want to have predictable movements, you can setup custom camera positions. Just move the camera somewhere and click shift+a number to store the position, and ctrl+a number to move to that position. The "transition time" setting will control how slow or fast the camera will travel between the positions. Issuing multiple ctrl commands in a row can be used to create more complex movements. |
