I would say go fot it! I'm not completely into the UK rules, but I've heard terms such as Mod1 and mod2 and learner and so on, so I wont say if it is worth the license struggle over there, but I don't regret my decision of getting a bike a single bit. I am - and will always be a car guy, and if I had the funds and the money for the insurance, I'd have cars over bikes no question. With that in mind, the feeling, the smell and characteristics of a motorbike is truly fantastic and like nothing else. - I can only recommend you, and anyone for that matter, to try it out at the very least!
