Smart Watch

Hi guys,
I'm considering getting a smartwatch as a little late Xmas present, but I didn't know if:

a) it's worth it
i) is so, how much?
ii) if not, why?
b) anyone has one they can recommend

Ideally Android since my phone is also Android Smile
