drift on track

Very interesting thread.

Basically, drifting can be done on the whole map.
Racing can only be done on the racing track (simply beacuse certain cars can only be driven there plus other reasons)
Why does the drifter need to go on the racing track for drifting?

The race track was surely designed for racing, considering all these features with hotlaps, splits, WRs etc.

Here's a good ingame example of how it looks like:
A fast car tries to go for a PB, driving racing lines. A drifter is ahead and obviously you don't want to cancel your whole hotlap, so you are trying to not do a too wide line around the drifter, staying as close to the racing line as possible.
Now you approach the drifter, who does a sudden, kind of unexpected turn to the right and you scratch them.
The outcome? URS warning for the racing car for "dangerously overtaking" and not apologizing.



Point is not to discuss this warning, just pointing out the problem of the current situation and showing that (IMO) something needs to be done.
