Night Edition 2022 for Rockingham.

This edition is almost ready for normal screen settings.
as this is a night edition of a game in daylight, this mod is by far not like most other mods.
you will need to do a little tweaking on your own screen maybe.

INSTALL:
Always install overhaul mods on a second LFS.Exe to prevent your normal LFS from crashing or make errors.

1.
Download a new fresh install from lfs.net or copy your existing install folder (the whole thing) to another location on same hard drive(this makes you not having to unlock it again, spending an unlock).

2.
Install the files from this mod by copying the folder named "data" into your LFS directory(there should already be a folder named that). overwrite all files.

3.
it may take a minute or two for LFS to go through all new files before it start up.
when it does. i suggest you go to options/graphics and turn everything in mip maps to far right ---> .
this levels out many things you see ingame. LOD on full on both sliders. Vsync at 100FPS might also help you out.

4.
LFS Radio, can be turned on in Audio settings.
LFS.RAD is included which plays some ambient sounds while driving at night.
hopefully i set it up for you so you wont have to anything other than turning it on or off in audio settings.
(it will give you a message in chat whenever it plays).

5.
I am not a professional at making these files. but as this mod has sort of followed LFS since very early times,
i asked Trakah123 back in the day if okay i updated it and he said it was okay.

6.
your own screen or monitor settings can help this mod alot by simply turning down brightness and go with lots of contrast if not full contrast.
if you got an energy saver on your screen this setting can darken the image even further.
it needs to be so dark that you can not tell the darkest and lightest tarmac from each other.

7.
NOTE:
this mod is made for specific weathers ingame such as overcast and sunset, to give you the best experience.

this includes :
Rockingham full overhaul of textures.
new colors in menus.
new LFS radio controlled ambience.
New textures.
new shaders (for night).
new sounds.

Hope you like it or will come with some constructive feedback so i can perhaps make it even better than it is now.

the mod is made as if you stand in a corn field at the middle of night far away from city lights. so needs to be really dark.
things that light up will do so if you use, cell lights and contrast instead of brightness. if it gets a bit black and white imaged add more color. well that works on my own screen. your screen might be totally different and have different settings.
modes on screens can be useful here too. perhaps you got a movie mode or sports mode, natural mode. fiddle around with it untill you think it looks like a night out side. markers , traffic lights , lights on cars will light up. some things will light up a bit too and with original files that is really bright. so therefore files are toned down to match the mod.

EDIT:
in older lfs versions you could turn haze on/off.
these options in settings are no longer being used in 0.7D.

1.Graphics -> Put Haze Effect off (in my mod its described as "set to NO")
this will disable the bright grey/white fog that you see at the far end of the map.
2.Graphics -> Track LOD Reduction to NO
this will disable bright view at the far end of the road.


How to use NightMode at its best :

To get the best possible lighting at night.
use the following weather options as described below.

Blackwood =Cloudy Afternoon
South City =Overcast Day
Fern Bay =Overcast Dusk
Autocross =Overcast Afternoon
Kyoto Ring =Cloudy Morning
Westhill =Cloudy Afternoon
Aston =Cloudy Afternoon
