The starting stages are similar to last Gumball's system, i will be pasting and editing some info from last Gumball to clarify how to start/retire a stage.

This Cannonball event has two stages, one is the First to Columbus, replacing the gumball's pedal to metal stage, and it will be a 6-hour stage and 500km long. The other one is the remaining 42 hours to complete 48 hours of Cannonball, so both stages are time-based.

Here is an example how Insim will look like*, and what will it require for you to start a stage.

First off, clicking on "HOME MENU" in Safe Zone will give you a new box on the bottom, called Rally
 

After clicking on Rally, you will be taken to a new box, where you will be shown information about current stage, if you currently have one active, or you can select a new stage by clicking Show available stages.
 

The list will show what stages you have finished, what stages you did-not-finish and what stage is currently available.
 

Clicking on one of the finished stages will reveal more information about the stage itself.
 

Clicking on stages you retired from will show this (in the following example it says "distance 5km", it will be "endless" instead):
 

Clicking on an available stage, which you have not completed yet will give you information about the stage
 

Starting a stage, and knowing you might not be able to complete it successfully, you can choose to retire from the stage by going into Rally menu, selecting the stage and click Retire from current stage which will also be visible to everyone on the server
 

On top of the screen, or above rear view mirror if you're using it, is the information about your current stage and how much time left for it's end
 

There will be 13 different badges as seen on image below. I have tried to put them on my profile with Photoshop, so you can get an idea of how it might appear on your profile. These are mostly finished versions of the badges but not that slight changes can be made to increase the visibility.

How to get the badges?

In the First Stage of Cannonball, the competitors who have crossed 500 kilometers margin in 6 hours, will get the "First to Columbus" badge. The competitor who has highest average speed in 500 kilometers will get 50,000€ from total prize pool.

For the Second Stage of Cannonball, the competitors who have made the most distance in 42 hours will be ranked and everyone who ranked in Top 10 will recieve "1st to 10th Place" badges depending on their ranks.

"Best Skinner" badge winner will be chosen by community voting. When the even is over, one week will be given for voting process and the winner will be chosen.

Supporter badge is for who donates 50,000€ or more will win the "Supporter" badge.
