Snow Edition 2023 by The Wizard Dk (extended work of Trakah123)
Works with patch D58 & Online , although it is never recommended to use mods like these online.



How to Install :
Download a fresh LFS and install that. LFS.net
unlock it if necessary.
copy ALL folders from this pack & overwrite everything.

Options/Graphics:
go into game and go to options/graphics and set all sliders to full right.
setup everything else graphics wise as you please.
it could be a good idea to set textures to low resolution.
it is also a good idea to slide LOD slider in graphics all right along with the dust slider.

Car mods :
if you got an existing LFS game with car mods you can copy them to the LFS you modded with Snow Edition.
LFS/Mods/Vehicles

Audio:
turn audio on in options/audio.
LFS radio provides the tool to have ambience in LFS.
LFS.RADIO.RAD comes with this so you should only have to turn on/off.
it is recommended to NOT use louder engine sound than MAX 12 in audio settings.
this is where the limiter takes over in LFS and will make other sounds fade out or not even be hearable. i have set my own to 10.
and other settings in audio worth to spend a minute on.
the very high skid sound is because you get snow effect sound which is deeper and therefore lower in volume. you also get a hectic winter wind in your face on bikes



Sound:
This mod comes with custom sounds

Visual:
Some Lightnings are better or worse than others ingame.
thumbrule is to not use ordinary day.(you can of course)as it will cause severe brightness
on some of the tracks.use almost any other. in rockingham it seems the skie files are a tat brighter than all the other skies in LFS,so that thumbrule defo plays in on ROK.
This mod is not made for high resolution VR.
in fact some files are still original snow mod files and therefore in very bad quality
such as on old tracks for example. its not that serious a mod yet although trying to get there.

The mod uses custom shaders, why some places may in certain lightnings appear blueish.
i had to make it like that, because otherwise you would not be able to see a thing due to the extreme brightness.

Fixes:
Fixed trees i hope on all tracks very quickly 1 hour before i release this.
Fixed BLW curb which had a pirelli advert on it. removed that.
Fixed westhill nad rockingham armco backside with signs. previously did not have those.

other than that i just hope people will enjoy it and if not, so be it.
my little contribution to everyone having a merry xmas 2023.

PS:
feel free to visit ingame server Magical Circuits(D52)to test it.
Users can:
use SHIFT+R on the server to restart race from correct place.
use SHIFT+X to change track/Lightning.
Tracks will load with layouts.
normal tracks use normal track layouts.
X & Y open configuration tracks use rally stages or race tracks.
exception is autocross and LA Square where you find drag drift and top speed tests.
you can even make your own little event on the server.
