Keeping right
I had a discussion with someone in the server today. From what I gathered, they had crashed someone whilst driving on the wrong-side, and yes apologized, however this is the thing;
The person who was driving on the wrong side, was driving with his map off, and his car draw distance set to 50m. He had no idea what was coming before he wrong sided. He claims that this is OK because he claims he was not 'purposely endangering' people so it complies with the rules, and he argues that nowhere on the rules does it say you are required to check the road ahead is clear before wrong-siding. My suggestion is a small update to the rules to say something along the lines of 'You MUST check and know the road is clear ahead before wrongsiding' - I know this sounds like common sense, but apparently this guy thinks that because common sense isn't in the rules he doesn't have to use it.. Which is wrong. Well, let me know what you think. |
