Who would have predicted the recession?

Once we committed to the Games, we had to do it properly. Plus, many of the previous Olympic games have actually resulted in a net profit for the domestic economy post-games. (Due to tourism, the legacy, and the massive investment in the local area). I did a paper on the Economic effects of the Olympics at University; It can bring benefits which you wouldn't necessarily expect.

 


