Most modern applications support HT and new processors are more efficient per thread and don't require the large amount of power old ones did to do the same tasks.
If you're gaming/multitasking you won't need an i7 that's overkill, even an i3 will be smooth flying. Bulldozers are supposed to be competition with the new i7 Sandy's so they won't be slow to say the least. I won't give advice on GPU's since i've not been watching the market or reading reports. |
