Someone knows there stuff! Our friend actually has an HK (H&K, whatever you want to call it) .45 ACP and I feel it's not quite as accurate as the Kimber 1911. (It may be shooter error though).

I've never had a pistol I can call my shot on a 25 yard target. Playing target battleships is now fun again! I'll provide more accurate information after our first annual shooting competition! Winner gets to blow away an old CRT monitor with my pistol grip Mossberg 500 lol.

Variations of the Luger are actually sold in .22 target pistols that are very accurate. The advantage is within the weight balance and internals. But an original Luger just isn't accurate enough. I believe the popular version is a Ruger MkIII.

Maybe I should just create a new topic in the 16/over area because this is a great topic, I would love everyone's opinions on rifles! The Remington ACR may have finally trumped the Kalashnikov for my favorite/best rifle of all time.

I am the first member of my entire family to own any brand 1911! I was actually looking at Desert Eagles but I have tiny hands and couldn't hold it without sacrificing comfort. And when shooting comfort/ergonomics = accuracy!

Side note: .45 ACP rounds are expensive as heck to buy! My dad's .357 Magnum revolver was cheaper to shoot and provided more entertainment for the new shooters. (I ended up educating 4 new guys at the range haha)
