RE: Show us your ride!
Nope, the usual finnish summer rain has washed it off. It will be sold with blown bees on the mirrors though. 100kmh car versus a bee = total lols.

RE: Show us your ride!
I might of have done a thing.
I bought myself a nice Seat Leon 1.9TDI Stella for 600€. Its not in mint perfect condition, but it has had ALOT of services, like a new gearbox, new turbo, new head gasket, machined head, valves, timing stuff, suspension, brakes, etc etc things. (all marked in the service history) Only things that i need to fix in it, is 2 spots of rust (front right wheel arch and windscreen upper right corner.) Just surface rust though, not needing to weld. I also need to change the windscreen until 3.7.2016, and fix the front bumper cause the previous owner decided to try to be a damn snowplow with it 2 times. Theres also this slight problem with the boost pressure control valve, which is a usual problem in these TDI engines, only a 30-60€ part though. It just cuts all the boost off at times making it basically feel like an SDI engine. I now to "fix" it have to roll around in neutral for a couple hundred metres to let oil go to the turbo before i turn the engine off and on again to "reset" the valve, and it makes boost again. Plans are to tint the rear windows, install a boost gauge (already bought.) Eventually remap it thru a friends contact (just boost up the power and torque a bit if is possible, its not 100% sure ill do it.) Install some speakers ofc, and a new head unit. Best thing in this is that it only uses 4,4 to 5,2l of diesel per 100km, which suits the amount of KM´s i drive. Sorry for a crap pic, i will eventually lend my friends 12mpx camera for quality shots. ![]() And no, this wont be half-ass built like the corolla was, this car is a keeper for a long time. |

RE: Show us your ride!
We tried to use a bleed valve in our Passat and couldn't get it to work so I doubt it won't work well.
But I'll keep it in mind. |

RE: Show us your ride!
All depends on year, and model.. some cars are have a magnetically controlled boost pressure, so going at it with the wastegate hose wont do anything. A remap with boost increase that way is only way to go, if you would go past the magnetic device mcthing, and not map it. You would only make it go lean

RE: Show us your ride!
My Saab's ECU has capability for a very sophisticated boost mapping and it uses a PWM controlled 3-way solenoid valve to control and limit boost.
Despite having mapping tools for the ECU, I've gone with a separate boost controller in my car and just removed the solenoid valve altogether. |

You should be vary, the car will not know that it has more boost, and put more fuel in. So it can start going lean, and im sure you know what can happen xD |

I have a wideband air/fuel ratio gauge to monitor that. And I'm driving on ethanol (mapped to RE85) |

About 225-230bhp realistically, and somewhere in the region of 350nm torque. I am aiming for +350bhp with my new setup (Mitsubishi TD04-19T turbo, 3" turboback, larger intercooler, 044 fuel pump, injectors somewhere in the range of ~800cc/min, Viggen clutch and a new tune of course) I still need to buy the correct injectors and some other minor crap to put it together. ![]() |

Got about the same project myself, realistically around 230~ myself. Buying a new turbo and intercooler soon, i already got new injectors installed ![]() |

One particular fact is that the Skoda uses the 45+ platform, a 4inch longer wheelbase than the original PL45 platform. 2 Cars used this particular platform, the Skoda Superb and the chinese long wheelbase version of the Passat. Hope this was helpful to you. |

RE: Show us your ride!
Ok the old suberb might use a little of the similar design language as some VW models, but how can you mix Bora and Suberb? Those cars are VERY different sizes... You can also pretty much see the Skoda badge and how big the car is from the pictures..
