I have a dilemma
Its about training, i was just a little curious that's all so please don't get mad for me asking.
I had passed basic training a few weeks ago, and as the TC team know, i must pass Advanced in order to earn my rights. However i was speaking to training leader and i was told that because of the time of year the chances of be being able to complete advanced is next to 0. I was told this is because of summer holidays and exams etc, which i have no problem with at all and i know that people shouldn't go out their way for training but i feel as though i will fail training or be a bad cop because i will be very rusty. I was told that advance training will pretty much be out for 30-40 weeks. Are there any re-fresher/practice sessions i can attend at some point? |

RE: I have a dilemma
Just saying, if I remember correctly you were told that adv. training probably won't take place the next 3 to 5 weeks (not 30 to 40 since that would mean ~April next year)

RE: I have a dilemma
We unfortunately don't run any practice sessions and as Saphira has already said it's less than likely that an advanced training will happen over the coming few weeks however it is not impossible. As for what you can do to keep practicing, I wouldn't worry too much about it, the advanced training is there to teach you further techniques in copping and make sure you're safe when putting them into use.
When you do eventually complete advanced training and regain your cop rights, you are always welcome to retake basic training if you feel under confident with copping on the servers. |

RE: I have a dilemma
As Howlin has stated.
Advanced Training is a big session usually averaging 3-4 trainees. We need a minimum of one Supervisor or Leader to run the session along side with 2-3 other assistants. We give you the chance to practice before assessing so don't be pressure about it. The best advice we can give is for you to keep driving, keep practising driving at high speeds under pressure, this improves your control and feel of your car. We do the work of teaching you the techniques. For some of us (like me, Howlin and Connor) Our exams finish very soon and holidays are coming up. We are certainly going to do our best to manage the requirements of people like you by fitting in trainings over the period of time we get free. |

RE: I have a dilemma
30 - 40 weeks gosh
As others have said this time of year is very very busy for ppl, however we do our best to try and get Advanced done, but sometimes not always succesful. Just keep on practicing and you are more then welcome to do a refresher on the Basic Training as stated. |
