Sounds like a good idea in theory, but imo the tracks are too short for this. In real life they are more than a few kilometers apart, however on TC the longest track is around 8.8km [AS5].

What do you get? People will eventually try to avoid the toll gate and U-turn, like I will do.
You have a few rich people out there that don't mind the idea, but not everyone has tons of money, they will have to struggle even harder to save some or get annoyed easily. If you speed, rent cars, get busted, get speedtrapped, tow yourself before the free pit, you're losing heaps of money already. Why would you add another feature to lose money? -1, sorry. |

Hm, when i was reading first posts it was for me stupid idea.
But... Is here anyone driving a truck in real life? If someone does, then he maybe know about Eurovignette. Its a road toll for trucks over 12 tons for S, DK, NL, L and B. My idea is - toll payment for every 24 hours (from 00:00 - 23:59 everyday). In real life police is typing our registration number in computer, and they know if we paid it or no. In game - if police finds out that we did not - they can chase us, and give a ticket |

thats is nice idea starter, cars do have vin numbers in game so it would be pretty fun

Bad idea. Implementing too many real life scenarios is quite overfiring the USPs of this cruising server. Please do not forget: it is just a game. LFS's claim of being realistic is based on car driving physics and (in the case of [TC]) an unique car/robber game mechanics based on insim. Anything more administrative on top would start to destroy the fun.
I don't see any fun raising value in adding "hidden payments" just for payment's sake. -1 from my point of view. |
