Here's an Alken update: (body is bolted down and the car is headed to interior this week!)

After finally seeing it on the pan I decided I'm going to pick up one of the other 3 cars. (And since the 4 door I was looking at has sold I has monies lol). Car #2 is my most likely candidate. Luckily included with the sale of #2 is also car #3! My dads car and car #2 were both electric car prototypes. Luckily the electric setup has been removed from both and number two was not cut up as my fathers. #3 however has always been privately owned on a beetle chassis. During the 70s however the car was molested and the owners attempted to install conventional door mounts, cut a hole in the decklid and installed a ton of gauges. My plans are to build a really nice 66 beetle pan with a 2200cc pushrod striker with dual Weber carbs.

Didn't know you were in Denmark, starter!

We hit 400.000 km in the Skoda today. I was also the one who was driving when it hit 300.000 km, so I got the honor of hitting 400k. Here's to another 100 Smile

Yeah, i have moved about six months ago, because my girlfriend is living and working here... so i had to change job and move in. Also i had to sell my Passat (because i cant drive here on plates from Poland) and i could afford only 1999 Civic 1.4 with... i think about 10 horsepower. And it eats fuel like 5L V8 Smile But its not bad - only 250k km at odometer, what is not usual thing for danish 17 year old car!
 


Our old passat did 4,7l/100km in over 80Kmh zones and 5,2 in city driving lol.

Our V40 does 3,9l/100km and C220 5l/100km. Both diesel of course. But you dont really have diesel cars where you live KooKoo?
 


We do have diesel cars but everyone is encouraged to buy more powerful cars because of cheap gas prices & no tax. My car for school drinks 40 litres just going from my home to school, back home & back to school & back home.
 

