There is no reason why we couldn't have zones 'protecting' areas behind ramps that lead OOB. We would also need to make sure that chases can't be started behind these protected areas because that could quite easily lead to people abusing the system. By that I mean chasing someone just as they're about to enter/leave an OOB zone just so they win a chase.

Good point, that kind of already exists for the pitlane. When somebody presses shift p/s it would cancel the chase.

I don't really understand how insims work, but I assume the spec barriers etc are mapped out by coordinates?

Big +1 even if u make it as a toll bridge with a boom gate so u have to pay before going over to the carpark just my thought

This looks like something that could be implemented in the future, meaning we would be less reluctant to place ramps leading out of bounds. That said, there are other slightly more important things we need to focus on at the moment!

Probably best to just remain patient at this time. :)
