Decided to go try Arab drifting again since it's been a while. The GIF is a bit jumpy but mostly ok.
GIF extends the page massively for some reason. (Click to View) |

RE: LFS's gifs [56k beware]
Even though you said it isn't sped up, when I make 60fps gifs with GifCam I have to use this site to slow them down to about 65%, they ARE sped up. Anything above 30fps gets sped up for some strange reason.

RE: LFS's gifs [56k beware]
GifCam at 33 fps seems fine to me. maybe, if anything at all, its just one second off within 15 seconds.
€: oh right, now i see your gifs. might be correct, not a really big difference tho, and maybe yours are too slow now, as i record in 33 not 60 fps €2: thats actually quite interesting, thx for that and the site. new gif, 33fps,100 seconds, is 90seconds to me uploaded and linked here in forum. so 65% is indeed a tad too slow. Will go for 90% in future maybe, although i quite like it a tad faster |

RE: LFS's gifs [56k beware]
(2016-08-22 17:05)Bee Wrote: ... BTW, gifs don't have absolute presentation timestamps like videos, only a delay per frame, so if the PC misses that delay by a ms or two, that sums up frame by frame. Edit: Just found out something very important: Gif's frame delays have a resolution of 1/100 second. So if you choose 60 fps, the delay should be 1.6666 hundredths, but that's impossible, it either gets rounded up or down, which leads into the wrong playback speed. SOLUTION: Pick a fps that you can divide 100 with. I.e.: 50, 40, 33, 25,20,10, etc. Gifcam also only records changed images. So even if you set it to 33 fps, and nothing happened on the screen, then it will skip these frames and simply extend the delay of the 1st frame. Saves much space. This is a good example for that practice: |
