Speeding in autobahn.

I got pulled over for speeding in autobahn and got a 200 euro ticket. Is that an actual fine?

Hello.

InSim auto apply a fine based on the speed that cop !lasered the suspect (You) , so , the fine depends on your speed. When more speed , bigger fine , but its automatic calucalted by InSim.

• One green bullet = Within the speed-limit
• One orange bullet = Within the leeway (verbal warning possible)
• - •••• 1-4 red bullets = Speeding (depending on severity, roughly 100€ each)
Speeding fines:
km/h mph Fine
<10 <6 40 €
>10 >6 60 €
>20 >12 80 €
>30 >19 120 €
>40 >25 160 €
>50 >31 200 €
>60 >37 240 €
>70 >43 280 €
>80 >50 320 €
>90 >56 360 €
>100 >62 400 €
>110 >28 440 €
>120 >75 480 €

There is always a 10% leeway, so the first and second fine may be overruled, depending on the actual speed-limit on track.
Example: Speed limit is 120 km/h, leeway is 12 km/h
120-132 km/h: within 10% leeway, 133-139 km/h = 60€, 140-149 km/h = 80€ , 150-159 km/h = 120€… and so on

To add onto what Borja said, there is also a speed limit shown in the top right hand corner. The speed limit for the Autobahn here on CityDriving is 160kph/100mph.

The name has no link with the German traffic rules regarding speedlimits on the autobahn

And as said, on the top right of your screen you can double-check the speedlimit just in case

And even in Germany a lot parts on the autobahn has speed limits. Not sure exactly how much, but I guess at least 30%.

The last number I heard that >50% has limits.

From what I read, only about 20% or less of Autobahns are fully unrestricted. (So if you find them, pedal to the metal! )
