Announcing SOS Pager!

Hello,

[CSR] now officially announces and releases [CSR] SOS Pager!
You might be wondering what it exactly is, but it is the new version of Wouter's and Neko's program LFSTowNotifier. Therefore, the development of LFSTowNotifier has stopped because it's useless to update two programs with almost the same functionalities. Further development will be done in SOS Pager.

For those who don't know what LFSTowNotifer and SOS Pager are: these are programs which you can use to get notified by a beeping sound when someone calls SOS in TC while LFS is minimized (it also works when LFS isn't minimized) on your computer. The name LFSTowNotifier is a bit misleading, because it's meant for cop's, tow's, med's and res', even only 'Tow' is in the name. SOS Pager will be the same, but the functionalities will eventually grow. It also works for COP's.

You need to obtain rights to use it here. The program asks for your LFS username the first time you open it, to verify that you've got the rights. The download link stays at the bottom of this post. You need to type '/insim 29999' in LFS, because it uses InSim.

I've programmed it in C# with Visual Studio 2017. We use the InSimDotNet libary and Costura.Fody to embed all the libaries into the executable.

Please report problems to this thread or, if you don't want to make them public, please send me a PM. We try to work on solving problems atleast every weekend.

You need .NET Framework 4.5 to use it.

You can download it here.
Your browser can give you security warnings, but you can ignore that. It's because it's still an pretty unknown file for browsers. It's completely safe to use.

Due to the GDPR, we are obliged to give you information about our personal data processing. We use your LFS username and we save it in a file on Dropbox. That file is only accessible with our software. Besides that, we also save your IP address for security. This program uses a licensing system which is based on LFS usernames. To make sure that nobody uses someone else's license, we also save your IP address in a file on Dropbox, which is only accesisble with our software. Besides the software, also I, Wouter, have access to this Dropbox-account. I take responsibility for the security of this Dropbox-account. Each [CSR] member has access to the list of allowed users to use this program. That's needed to give them the rights to add users. We'll take your privacy very serious and take care of your data in a professional manner.

If you want, you can change the .wav-files to change the sounds for a more realistic experience.

- Added Arduino-support: You can use an Arduino-device to let your microcontroller perform actions when someone calls an emergency.
Your Arduino needs to be connected via USB to your PC. The communication is done by writing to the serial interface of the Arduino (UART).
The program automatically recognises your Arduino after connecting it to your computer, if you have the Arduino drivers installed. After a (re)start of the program or a emergency call, the program searches for your possibly present Arduino and automatically sends data to it if you get a call. However, it doesn't work with other microcontroller platforms which are based on Atmel AVR yet, because the program searhces for a device with the name 'Arduino' in the description.
