S1/S2 Race Tournament

The fact that I'm suggesting this may sound sarcastic, but I'm serious about this.



I got this idea from the recent discussion about whether or not a oneway-speedbump needed to be removed from Corby to serve players/cops driving with sport/lowered setups. This made me think. There is a number of people that have been driving these original LFS vehicles like the FZ5 and the XRT, and they have been adjusting/perfecting their setup in such a way to be really fast with it (at least that's what I'm guessing). It is understandable that they still prefer their "old" S1 and S2 vehicles rather than the faster/alternative versions of those cars that are available in the modlist. They probably have many MANY hours in driving these cars.



So here is my suggestion:
What if there were to be an S1/S2 racing event? So for instance race tournament where the participants can only use either FZ5 only, TBO's only, GTRs only, etc, depending on the race. This can be a fun way to put those custom setups and the player's skills to the test, rather than using it in police chases only. There can be multiple races, for instance during the Weston trackday and Blackwood trackday, so the other roads are still open for cruisers. Participants can win points depending on their finishing position, but also for things like fastest laptime, or the nicest skin. There even could also be team race, where you do not race/win as individual, but per team. So for instance, each team has 2 or 3 racers in the race, and their finishing points will add up to see which team will win. There are many posibilities.

To prevent a full server, the event could be held on server 2, so the majority of people not interested in the event can go to server 1.



Ps. I'm probably not participating myself, but I would like to see more events from TC. Whether it's a formula TC cup, a 24 minutes of Weston, a cannonball event, or anything else really. Let's do something.

Events should be held in Trackday weekends (blackwood or westhill) using the race system Chuck created. S1/S2 cars are great but it should be expanded to other cars as well, through a vote in the weeks leading up to the actual event.
