PC Emulator in Javascript
You may have see it already, but still amazing. (Still useless though lol)

Lewis, basically it's just a test, as far as i can tell. But what the guy did was emulate hardware in a way to create a fake computer environment, then put the Linux operating system in that environment.
Javascript is a programming language that's considered to be a bit "light", and usually handles things like form processing, button clicks, and mouseovers on web pages. If you go to someone's cheesy page and they have a text clock, or something following the cursor, that's Javascript doing it. So, this is the equivalent of getting, say, Windows 3.1 to run on your calculator. The calculator's meant for something entirely different, and it takes great skill to get it to do something like this. |
