Tore the front left door panel off to reconnect a loose cable. When those people at the dealership "fixed" the windows, they forgot to plug the mirror controls back in (knob on top photo), so they didn't work until now.

The mirrors work perfectly fine now.

Pff, pretty stupid mistake. Almost as bad as the work I had done on my car for it's MOT.

Happenings at the garage:

My dad's Astra was in pretty bad condition, but I've already replaced all the gaskets and belts in the engine. The head gasket was practically gone, so the coolants went ahead and jumped into the big party in the cylinders. Here's the result, anyone wanna make pancakes?

And because my Honda had an issue where the high beams didn't stay on, I opened the Integrated Control Unit that controls the wipers, lights, etc. and indeed, as I had guessed, some of the solderings in there had gotten damaged from excess heat. Seems that one of the relays in there has some nice currents going through it.

Yeah about to say doesn't sound like a beast but the 0-60time.. 5.6 secs ?
Faster then a RS Focus 300bhp and nearly faster then the RS500 version of the Focus. What's the bhp/torque.

Glad you approve, since my next car's going to be a LY 182, if they haven't all been written off by then.

Might be a while until I get it though, my insurance is gonna hike a bit at renewal, got hit by a Type R lol.

Kinda my fault. Was in the fast lane of the M5, when a type R comes belting up behind me. A gap in the middle lane opens up so I move over to let him pass. 20 seconds pass, and the guy is just sat behind me (but still in the fast lane). I come across a slow car in the middle lane, so I indicate to move out into the fast lane again. I check my mirrors and blindspot and the guy has dropped back to let me out. So I start to move into the fast lane. Unfortunately he chose that exact moment to drop a cog and try to overtake.

Rather annoying as I then had to drive 170 more motorway miles with no mirror.

Shit happens, unlucky timing though. I hope the repairs aren't too expensive!

It's a clio. Wing mirror's a fiver, new front wing £50-60, rest is a respray and dentman job. Win! It'll be the insurance that kills me though.

Tell me about it, he probably thought that I was hanging back so I could move out after him.
