Computer speakers - what to get?

Alright, I've had my old speakers for a long time, a superb 5.1 system (dropped the center the first time i packed it all up though). Looking for something new now that doesn't take up 60% of all the space i got.

I had an old Creative Inspire 5.1 Digital 5700 and looking for a 2.1 or just a 2 speaker system.

Sound quality and the bass is important, I'm usually listening to anything from hiphop/rap/dance/dubstep/house ect. so bass is quite important but it needs to be top quality and not "slow" to weird.

Anyone got some tips? Because i have no idea at all what to get

Bose makes pretty good speakers and the sounds are pretty good. So u wan't 2 speaker system or 2-5 speakers+bass?

I'm looking to get the Corsair Gaming Audio SP2500 set when I get the money and need for it.

Other than that, I can recommend you the Creative T40-II, and the T-20's as well.

Hmmm.... Have you considered a harmon/kardon system? I don't know what they make now, but I have two 10 year old sets of 2.1 harmon/kardons ( same model) that are niiiiiice for anything with a beat, and they still work like new.

AFAIK he's got some KRK Rokits. Althought I'm not sure wich ones exactly

I'd suggest the Z-5500 to you.

Its a beast in bass and quality! I got it myself a long while ago, and still im shaking my room..

Bose for the best available sound quality for that price (Around 300€)
and
Logitech for very good sound quality and bass thats enough for anything. (Also 300€)

Don't want to pay for speakers that is for no use, and at the moment I'm currently into the KRK Rokits 8 and they cost around 230€. Although I'm not sure nor have decided yet.

+ Good quality speakers
+ Not too expensive
- They're HUGE

I have the KRK RP8 with a RME Babyface as sound card. It's pretty expensive setup (I've paid +1K eur including cables).

And yes, you're buying them separated not as set.

You could look into the Creative speakers too, not sure about the quality of them. The speakers look pretty beast though, lol.

I'm going to look into the Logitech Z906 or if i can get a second hand Z-5500. If i remember it right i think Siba in Sweden till got the Z-5500 as most of them aren't sold yet..

They are complete though with all speakers in the price? lol
