Hi [TC] CityDriving

You all know´s to be a cop you only have to drive 2500 km. After that you can just put [COP] into your name and then you´a cop. I experience that the new Cop can´t do the job well. They are ramming when they try to do a manuver and they can´t make a STOP right. I was thinking why just say that you must have a basic training to be a cop and the advance training could be so you could be a "example" Speciel force ???

This has been suggested before and its been denied. Its going to be too much job for the training team to train everyone, so only the ones that looses coprights or actually applies for training takes training

Although in theory what you're suggesting is a good idea, it is incredibly impractical. People are barely being trained as it is (due to busy trainers); forcing basic training to new cops would most probably significantly increase the work trainers have to do (albeit there is a recruitment of trainers occurring as we speak so this may not be a massive problem, but who knows?) and somewhat unnecessarily, too. Us admins are here to make sure cops a.) don't abuse their power, b.) don't break cop rules, etc. If they do so, they would be dealt with accordingly.

2500km should be enough already, but as you say, some new cops are inevetibably going to be overwhelmed and not completely up to the job.

My suggestion is : New cops=2,5k km , Cop rights lost cop : 10k km or training.
The training: you need to pass written exam , and watch a Cop tutorial video
Its more easier for trainers .

This way you're not completing practical work though - for manoeuvres like the P.I.T. that need to be done with planned force, I think a trainer will need to see that you have the capability to do it, instead of just ramming.

Okay. But then why not make a test with some questions where they should have 17/20 questions. Then you know if they can the rules

That probably wouldn't help at all. There is already a test, it is pretty easy.
People can get 13/13 in the test but still be an awful cop.

O/T: I think if there were more trainers, then the idea would work, however it just really wouldn't with the current amount.

Well I think thats one of the reasons why theres a recruitment in the training team going on atm.

Knowing the theory of copping doesn't automaticly mean that they are also able to drive properly as a cop.

I know the theory of changing car fluids (can't be that hard), but never done it before, it wouldn't automaticly mean that the first attemt goes without problems at all.

Sorry to say but a test does not make you a better cop nor actually show you how to do a pit etc.

I see that we do need more control over new cops. But as many said it be to much on the trainers. Just something we have to deal with, new cops that break rules (get reported or admin sees) then they need to do cop training.
