[TC] Racing presents Formula XR Series 2014.

There will be a drivers championship as well as a team championship. A team can consist of two or more drivers and in any race, only the top 2 finishing drivers for a team can score points towards the team total. Any InSim cash donations will go towards the drivers championship.


Naming Convention

We will be enforcing a naming convention, this will be a zero padded number from 00 to 99 (more will be allocated if needed) plus your forename initial and surname separated by a dot.

For example: 82 P.Butcher or 01 P.Butcher etc... (Car number must be white, Driver name can be any combination of colours. If you do not want to use you real name, make one up within reason)


Schedule

Every round will consist of a 20 minute qualifying session followed by 10 minutes of pre-race practice. Each race will last for approximately 45 minutes and will contain a mandatory pit stop in which you must change all 4 tyres. You may pit at any point after you have completed your second lap. You may not pit any later than 2 laps before the end of the race. The pit window will be clarified before each race if needed. Each round will last approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.

• Round One: 37 laps of Blackwood GP (BL1)
  Sunday 5th October at 18:00 GMT+1
  

• Round Two: 19 laps of Fern Bay Black (FE4)
  Sunday 19th October at 18:00 GMT+1
  

• Round Three: 24 laps of Aston North (AS7)
  Sunday 2nd November at 18:00 GMT
  

• Round Four: 34 laps of South City Town Course (SO5)
  Sunday 23rd November at 18:00 GMT
  

Rulebook

1. If you sign up, turn up. If you cannot attend a race, please ensure that you contact an event organiser prior to the start of the event.
2. You must obey the rules of the Clear Racers Club at all times
3. If your ping is greater than 0.20s, you will not be able to compete in the race.
4. The deadline for signing up to a race is 17:00 GMT+1 on the day. If you sign up after this time, you will only be able to race in the next round.
5. In order to qualify for the race, you must post a time that is within 107% of that of the pole sitter. If the pole lap time is a 1:26.00, you must post a time of 1:32.02 or less to qualify. Drivers who did not qualify may still be able to race. This is at the discretion of the event organisers.
6. Chat will be closed during qualifying and race sessions. Every line of chat will result in a 1 point penalty being given to that driver.

The server will be open 24/7 with the password below. The password will be changed an hour before each round and distributed to each competitor via PM at least 24 hours before the start of the race.


Driver & Team Championships

Points will be awarded to every driver that finishes a race meaning there are 32 point divisions. These are as follows:

100, 90, 82, 76, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50, 46, 42, 38, 34, 31, 28, 25, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

The maximum points for the driver championship will therefore be 400 points.

The team championship will be calculated by taking the top two finishing drivers from each team per round. For example, if a team fields 4 drivers and they finish 1st, 2nd, 6th and 12th. The top two drivers from that team will score points towards the team total, in this example, the team score from round 1 would be 190 points for 1st & 2nd place (100 points for 1st, 90 points for 2nd).


Prizes & Donations

Any CityDriving InSim donations that are received will go towards the driver championship prize pool. The prizes will be distributed as follows:

1st: 24%
2nd: 18%
3rd: 15%
4th: 12%
5th: 10%
6th: 8%
7th: 6%
8th: 4%
9th: 2%
10th: 1%
