- Cop rights revoked Yasso7up (Appeal Denied)
- Your LFS Username: Yasso7up
- Time & Date of Incident: chase started at 16:38 Tuesday September 26 from replay i attached, dont remember the time zone but it should be the same on the replay top left. - Replay / Screenshot: Google drive - Replay Timestamps (for which you think led to your revoke): 6:21:48 - Reasons as to why you think you deserve your rights back: I'm a newbie as a COP in TC, and i find it unfair because it was such a stupid chase to judge my driving. I am a person who learns from others, and ive seen that cops, including TC members (VCU) become more agressive with the suspect if the suspect himself is agressive with the cop. Usually im VERY clean as a cop and i have a lot of patience with suspect IF he does drive respectfully. I would like to apologize to the suspect for my bad behaviour but i find it unfair that i get cop rights revoked even tho i know how to do my job. I did so many chases on the last days, why not judge me on those instead of that only chase? I would love to get back my COP rights and show you how i actually am as TC COP. Thank you. |

(2023-09-27 11:30)Yasso7up Wrote: - Your LFS Username: Yasso7up This was initially investigated when you cried wolf that you had been rammed. Lryrinx reviewed the replay and found that YOU had in fact blatantly rammed the suspect on more than one occasion. I then checked it myself and confirmed this was indeed the case. Despite your previous history for ramming, Lryrinx wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt and therefore instead of requesting a ban (based on your previous history for ramming), requested for your rights to be revoked. This was on the basis you are still relatively new to being a COP and because it seems apparent that you're struggling to understand what level of contact is permitted when in a chase. The reason I feel you are struggling to understand the level of contact is because of your reaction to Jorks' tactical contact/positioning. I was amazed that something so trivial was enough to rile you up enough to full speed ram him and then (for whatever bizarre reason) inaccurately complain to us that he had rammed you, when YOU had just blatantly rammed him. Your reaction was worrying. It demonstrated a lack of understanding of what level of contact is permitted in chases and until you are able to understand this, you cannot be allowed to cop. If something so trivial is going to cause such a reaction, then either you're easily agitated or you lack understanding. The latter was assumed to give you the benefit of the doubt. Basic training will teach you the fundamentals of being a cop, including what level of contact is permitted and I feel this would be advantageous to you and prevent future knee jerk reactions from you. |

(2023-09-27 13:14)Cam Wrote:(2023-09-27 11:30)Yasso7up Wrote: - Your LFS Username: Yasso7up Like that ram actually mattered, i left the chase because my front suspensions died after he pushed me into the armco. And you are talking like you did nothing the day before in the evening, you also said you was as agressive as the suspect was. But i get it youre a TC member and nothing will happen to you and you take advantage of it. Good job. Also funny from you taking out of nowhere my ban log, my first ban was a 20kmh bike crash and i got banned for it, since then i get banned for every contact i cause. And as i exactly said, why are you looking only that chase and not all the chases i did? 1 crash out of 200 and i get cop rights revoked, seems like a joke no? You also ram no? ''level of contact'' why not look the real level of contact of all my 100 chases? Seems like some kind of admin abuse imo, because its very unfair what you are doing. I can surely say my level of contact is way lower than yours cam, or atleast compared from what ive seen you doing on monday evening. And the reason because of that ''full speed'' ram was not to stop him, but i was going to leave the chase as i lost anyways. But still, one dirty chase out of 100 or 200 clean ones in 3 days looks like not right to revoke cop rights. A solution maybe is giving me cop rights and watch me how i actually am as a cop, maybe including some anonymus person watching me driving aswell. This might be a good solution to deal with. |

RE: Cop rights revoked Yasso7up
Hi,
Sorry for the delay. Management have spent some time reviewing this carefully. In a lot of circumstances, a player is usually given a warning prior to having such action taken like a ban or a COP right revoke in your case. We would do this when the player is making innocent mistakes without actually knowing or some other relatively minor thing that can be quickly fixed with a chat. In your case however, it was not so innocent. You have demonstrated purposely ramming the suspect that you are chasing very hard, multiple times which seemed almost intentional. It appears you admitted to ramming via discord too. I shall share some images to help: There was a heavy reverse ram here @ 6:23:58.00 You pushed the car into a wall and rammed it very hard @ 6:24:35.00 And lastly the full throttle ram @ 6:24:55.00 You frequently mention how the suspect is being aggressive with you and so you aim to do the same. Whilst stepping up aggression can be a solution when done correctly, it must never cross the lines of the gameplay rules, which I'm sure you know very well by now. As Cam mentioned, you either have a very short fuse when it comes to chasing difficult suspects or you simply don't know the rules well enough. The suspect you were chasing wasn't really being that aggressive, but the difference in weight and other related physics is going to have a lot to do with how certain cars can fight you off with minimal effort. Jorks did not actually break any rules during the chase, despite you thinking he did and reporting him for that. Refer to my comments about power/weight differences. The nudge to the barrier which ended your chase was legal. You approached the side of him in a very risky spot, he took the opportunity with minimal force. So to conclude, [TC] Cam took appropriate and fair action based on the evidence he had to hand. Your appeal will be denied. We will make sure Basic Training shows/advises you: Following the suspect safely without crashing The correct way to PIT What to do if you have a difficult suspect in a heavy/powerful car Suspects nudging cars to barriers and vice versa Please remember that playing as [COP] is a priveledge and not a right. It's an important role to get right to keep the gameplay fair and fun for everybody. Carl On behalf of [TC] Management Cop Rights Revocation Appeal Denied
Unfortunately your cop rights will not be reinstated for the reasons described. |
