User became rude afterwards and did not even try to cooperate when I started to talk with him. 17:40 - Siren must already be visible to him, yet he proceeds to accelerate 19:00 - Repeats the offence, almost hitting the chase. Following this he goes to stunt into the pitlane on purpose (luckily not crashing into the chase and ruining other's gameplay). After this incident, I have a short discussion, where he admits to overtaking the chase on purpose. "ofc". Description of your conversation with this user(s) about their conduct, including their reaction to your messages: I asked if he knows what siren means, he replied with "no I dont tell me" and asked me if he hit me, which was not the case, because the rules simply state Slow down and do not overtake. In another replay I told him what it meant when he came back from afk, only to reply with: "why are you yapping so much about it ?" and "You are mad ? Report it" The latter conversation can be seen in the provided screenshot. You would think a person with 2,593 hours online would acknowledge the simple rules. Sorry to waste your time, I wouldn't be here if he only showed a slightly better attitude towards me.. RE: thegamer147
I understand that the situation may have been frustrating for you, but I’d like to clarify a few things.
First, I had no intention of ruining anyone’s gameplay. Yes, I overtook the chase, but at no point was I deliberately trying to provoke or interfere with anyone. Regarding the siren, I was focused on my driving and didn’t react to it as quickly as I should have, but there was no bad intention behind it. Regarding our conversation after the incident, I acknowledge that my response may have seemed inappropriate. I could have replied differently, but at the time, I felt the situation was being a bit overblown since I didn’t cause an accident. However, I understand that the server rules must be followed and that this kind of action can be seen negatively. If this affected your gameplay experience, that was not my intention. Next time, I will pay more attention to the siren and server rules. |

Quote:may have seemed inappropriateMay? I think it did seem inappropriate 100%. I think as an affiliate team member it doesn't give a very good picture of the team you represent, when you are purposefully breaking the rules... |

RE: thegamer147
I see you’re pushing this further, so let me clarify once again.
Yes, I could have responded differently, but I don’t see how that justifies making this a bigger issue than it actually is. I never "purposefully" broke the rules or tried to ruin anyone’s experience. At worst, I made a mistake in judgment, but that doesn't warrant acting as if this was some major offense. As for bringing up my team affiliation, that’s completely irrelevant to the situation. Individual mistakes don’t define an entire group, and making it about that feels unnecessary. If this report was meant to address an issue, fine, but if it’s just an excuse to escalate things and take personal shots, I won’t entertain that. |

RE: thegamer147
I have enough evidence from both sides, thanks. No more replies, I'm bringing the final decision soon.

RE: thegamer147
Hi,
In the replay, I see Carlos overtaking chases twice in a short space of time. However, both times tried to brake and failed - sometimes due to poor reflexes, sometimes because he was going too fast. In the same way that he attempts to brake, he effectively overtakes the chase once he sees that he has stopped next to it, arguably avoidable. He could simply stay standing and wait for the chase to overtake him again. I assume the visual siren was visible on both occasions, even though the chase was stopped on a corner with a significant blind spot. Carlos, you reacted very wrongly to Deaky's questions. Even though I brought up some aspects that "explain" your fault, the responsibility for both incidents was undoubtedly yours. Overtaking chases is not allowed, ensure to follow the rules all time. Deaky, after the incident you overreacted a bit, which is quite comprehensible given the situation. However, you could have gotten a better response from Carlos if you had questioned him a bit more calmly about why he overtook your chase, for example. Also, there was another admin online at the time of the incident, you could have reached them to check the replay, keep this in mind for future occasions. Considering Carlos' reply in this report - which shows he is sorry for what he did - he will pay more attention while driving on the server and will not overtake chases again. Evaluating the severity of the incident and his attitude of coming here and explaining himself, I'm not going to take action this time. Thanks, -Grizz No action has been taken as explained
Thank you for your report, it has now been moved to the archives. |
