LED-it-Click
Hello Everyone,
Me and 7 others have recently started our own Student Company. The Student Company is called LED-it-Click and our product is bicycle lighting that cannot be stolen. Most students in Holland have a bicycle and the lights on their bikes always get stolen when going out or wherever they go in the evening. Our products will prevent that from happening. LED-it-Click Thank you for liking us on Facebook! Kind Regards, Cas |

RE: LED-it-Click
From my experience bycicle lightning gets stolen because they find it funny to do or just for the sake of being a 'hooligan' or similar. I don't even think you can earn any money by stealing them because they are a few euro's tops in quite a few stores.
How do thiefs know they don't work after being stolen? I can imagine they cba if they know it won't work, but I doubt they are informed properly about it. And even if they do test the lighting before running off with it, they'd probably throw it in the bushes rather than putting it back on the bike properly |

RE: LED-it-Click
You steal them to use them for yourself, because you can easily use them again.

RE: LED-it-Click
You won't be able to get it off, unless you're carrying a knife of course. It's easy to attach on your steering bar with the same system a tyrap is attached really.

RE: LED-it-Click
I'll rather stick to the old method of taking the light with you, acts as a decent flashlight too, that way.
I guess it's a good idea, though it wouldn't be too difficult to just drill a hole in a normal light and put a cable tie through it. |

RE: LED-it-Click
It's for students and the marketsurvery shows that not many students do that.. lol.
And most people don't want to carry their lights when going out. |

RE: LED-it-Click
Pretty cool. But how does it work?
If you say they can only take it off with a knife, how does the owner take it off? |

RE: LED-it-Click
Think of it like a tyrap, you know how that works. It's basically the same mechanism.

RE: LED-it-Click
Can also steal a car with an alarm, indeed. This is just to improve the visibility at night, because cyclists are really hard to see at night when they don't have any lighting. Especially students, who are our target group, will not have to buy new lights every time.
That's the idea behind it, we have done a market survey and asked people for their opinions. More than 90% liked the idea and thought it was good. That's enough for us to set up a business for it. |
