RE: Clarification of Arabic rules
Why not translate the rules to all languages ? Well Because atm arab people are the only non-english guys causing big trouble on the servers , and since the majority of them are not making efforts to acknowledge the rules , the only solution is to translate the rules , unless you want to spend the rest of your TC life fighting and reporting them.

It still specializes arabs giving them rights people from other countries won't get. It still doesn't affect my life but people need to acknowledge that if this suggestions goes through arab people have special treatment over other countries, and TC is saying you don't need to know english in english speaking community, we will translate rules for your native language if you can't behave yourself |

Petsu I am not acting offensive, if you want the rules to be in other languages go ahead, make a Finland version of the rules, no one stopped you?

Everyone else learns it also so they can interact internationally, or if they don't learn they just need to accept the fact you can't do certain things as well as others. I still am not against this idea but you are not even trying to understand mine, or Frozens point in this. edit: if you want to help arab players, make the rules, and give them to arab players directly without TC backing it up, so it won't end up TC giving special treatment to other countries over others |

RE: Clarification of Arabic rules
I think it is a good idea. Anything which helps an individual (or a group of individuals) feel more welcome and--most importantly--understand what is and isn't allowed here is a win in my book.
We're discussing this internally at the moment, KooKoo. However, please guys, stop jumping all over this thread with (I think) silly responses e.g. "learn english" |

RE: Clarification of Arabic rules
I'm using my phone here so Bare with me. I was called to the server to deal with the Arab that had little cop experience. He had no knowledge of English what so ever, that's fine, that's his personal choice. After the guy was dealt with, kookoo informed me that the official TC Arabic rules made little sense, which is understandable since Google translate is not always accurate, since I was very busy at the time and in a bit of a rush I wanted kookoo to bring this up for a community discussion, we all know Arabs are becoming increasingly popular with TC and our last admin with Arabic knowledge (Rifo) has unfortunately departed from us therefore, we're left to our own accord and basic knowledge and to be honest, we're obviously struggling with the mass increase of activity. We need the Arabic rules reconstructed officially so they make sense for the people who require it, this is very important for the community gameplay.
My hopes were to get the community involved with this in some way or form because the admin team has a major language barrier with the Arabs, with it being such a complicated language (from our view). I'll also say this, you cannot cop on the TC servers if you can't speak English (or translate to English), it just won't work, you need to communicate to your suspect and team. English is a very central language that's why we use it, it's a rule to speak English in public so everyone is aware of what you are saying, for all we know you could be effing and blinding. But you cannot expect anyone to learn English just for a bit of fun on a game, so telling them to learn English is Impractical and gets us no further and to be fair, its disrespectful in my eyes, their culture is not to be controlled by another.. So please drop it with the silly comments about "I know English and im Spanish", it's your choice to learn it, not everybody is linguistic (Im certainly not lol). I just wanted to highlight how Important I believe this is since being honest, 75% of offences are Arabic related and it would be unfair and wrong to target them individually when it's not always their fault. They want to have fun like everyone else but most of them have any idea how to speak English, and since the Arabic rules makes no sense, what use are they? (but let's not forget, it may not just be Arabic, other languages maybe poorly translated, Arabic is just one of the most complicated) Can another user who understands Arabic confirm that they do not make sense? Just to be 100% sure As for the tone in the comments, keep it respectable here, the suggest is valid and so are the arguments, kookoo has all the right to use the punctuation, its an argument and its constructive but let's just keep it respectful and on topic instead of a flame war please. Arguements without any constructive context will not be tolerated, be warned. |

RE: Clarification of Arabic rules
Not to mention that he ignored you because he did not know what you were saying.
Edit: Luke the only reason they don't make sense is because sometimes one english word means several words in arabic which makes the whole sentence sound wrong. Edit 2: I found this word in rule 1.1: الجمارك which translates to customs. And the sentence translated to the following: It might be a new game and you do not know the path or the customs (own translation) It can be a new game and do not know the track or customs (Google translate, translating itself) I can go on and on.. |

RE: Clarification of Arabic rules
I personally like this one:
English: Cops are expected to behave and act like cops. No donuts, burnouts, drifting, ramming, tailgating etc. Arabic: It is expected to act and behave like police officers . No cakes , burning , drift , and I was shocked , tail etc. |

It has nothing to do with culture. As mentioned in my other replys there are lots of arabics who can speak english if not perfect, that does not matter. The point I was trying to explain is that the least you can do when you join a english speaking community is to atleast try to understand how the server works. You cannot expect from a community to manually translate the rules to your language if you did not even make a try to understand them. Of course google translator is prettymuch bad, however, if they would atleast try things would be different. Ive re read all my replys and cant find any which has been disrespectful to them or their culture? As I said also,I got friends from saudi arabia and they are very nice. Just the fact the bad image joins the server doesnt mean all are like them. However I repeat. I do not have anything against this idea. If it helps us why not? Just expressing my opinion like anyone else and is as respectable as anyone else's opinion here. |

That might not help the situation too much if the translation is barely understandable.

I wasn't aiming at anyone about them being disrespectful to their culture at this current time, but I was saying that it will be disrespectful to force them to learn English on the TC servers. That is not in our right. Some Arabs do attempt to have fun and remain within server rules (mostly those who can speak a bit of English), others just don't bother because they have no Arabic support and since they don't know English, where do they start? We have nowhere for them to start. It would be nice to get a handful of volunteers (in my opinion) that can speak Arabic and are able to assist with the reworking. We can't rely on one person to do this if this is the case. It would have to be two or three to confirm and check that what is translated, is fully understandable and correct. |

Translate the rules > Translate the insim > translate the forum> force TC to learn arabic > turn community Arabic.
Sounds like America. |
