RE: How TC-Administration influences GB3K
Going to say my 2 cents but hopefully it's not towards any admins, cruisers. It may feel that way. I don't play as much on TC anymore, kinder you know life gets harder as you get older (more job roles etc) Now that I'm team leader of my job so don't come on as much as i used to do. But i will say since 2 years now Tc has become a pool of hatred and a lot of brown nosing (you don't see it but a lot of others do) It seems this gumball has shown a lot of people's true colors (again not going to name anyone) Now as I've said so many times in the last 5months it's just a game, life's to short to really get into a game and quite frankly lfs is a very very small game in the gaming community (black ops/gta/etc)
It's all well and good to point out problems within the server or with the team or cruisers. My points are valid enough for me to post. And for everyone to say because it is on a lot of people's minds. First off is. Idle time with admins, I know admins will or say something towards this but a lot of admins on this gumball events have less then 1km yet be able to be afk while full 31 people server and no kick. (many sides to this) "we need admins to be in server of rule breakers" yes that's fair but not 6-8 admins on and half of them just afk. 2nd one is a hard point to say because it sadly names but all i will say is a lot of "Brown nosing" don't need to be young or old to see that happens a lot these days, certain people getting certain extra life's as you say to stay on the server. (You don't need to be a genius to work out who gets it) I just hope we don't lose what's left of what was once a good server to come on, all mean's it's still good server just years ago it was the "great" server, so more fun and less of this you know... fighting. The vinnie thing well that's internal with admins so i won't say my 2 cents on that. Just hope it all settles after this gumball event, seems it has gone out the window "fun" Anyways peace! |

These events are for FUN and what is more fun than burning money for a shot to earn even more? All this fighting over an event which is clearly just to keep us all interested and offer some new aspects to this great game. All this has really shown that we do have an attitude towards competition, "MUST WIN". That attitude is completely fine if you keep it to yourself and do your best withing your own limits. If you lose, you lose. I really do hope that all of this does not change TC's eager to host events for us. Its a great server and great bunch of people. Please guys, don't ruin it. |

I don't usually seem very competitive but that's because I stay out of events like this... Because IF I do join a competition, I will probably ruin my life and my health trying to win. I'm always such a perfectionist in everything I do, I can't finish second if I take part in something. So it's obviously better to just stay out and stay calm. |

RE: How TC-Administration influences GB3K
Even though activity has gone up on the TC servers over the past few months, you think our services have gone from "great" to "good" in what is a dying game?
If you have any suggestions as to what you want improved please post a new thread and don't put it here. I cannot see how this has suddenly become TC's fault. We do our best to sort all of the issues that get thrown at us, it's always been like that and yet, we still end up getting the blame? I wonder why we bother sometimes. |

Let's just hope that everything settles down in the following weeks. E: Quote:it's always been like that and yet, we still end up getting the blame? RE: How TC-Administration influences GB3K
I personally feel we have delivered the same level of quality even though the number of users we've had is increasing week on week.
The way we deal with complaints has been the same pretty much from the get go so I'm surprised that people think that users violating rules should somehow be treated differently just because an event is being run. |

RE: How TC-Administration influences GB3K
The strict line of TC is why i came back after my ban. I began to appreciate the rules, because rules provide quality. TC is doing really good work with this massive crowd of different people doing the same thing which all of us like. Driving. Problems can be dealt with and everyone should be okay what ever the outcome is.

RE: How TC-Administration influences GB3K
I think that people rant about the fact that some users get a "Get out of jail for free" card and some users don't. Its a community with a bunch of people that grew up over the years. Friends have been made, foes too. Its fair to say that its perfectly normal that some users will get more "slack" from the administration as they have been here for years.
In my opinion, people take this game too seriously. I come here after work to unwind and have some fun. If you can't understand and respect the rules, why are you even here in the first place? Then, if you break them and it returns consequences, why do you whine about it afterwards? I think that TC-Administration is doing a hell of a good job to keep these server as friendly as possible. They also created multiple channels to resolve issues if necessary. We may not like everyone of them (Everybody has a different personality!) but they do their 100% everyday. Frankly, we can keep on ranting/whining all we want about this and that, in the end, its just a game. Lets all have fun and keep it civilized. |

RE: How TC-Administration influences GB3K
It's getting annoying to read and see a whole fricking family (except one) rage to the management of TC on how bad they are, and how they themselves are perfectly clean and haven't done anything wrong. I mean it's a game and the admins don't get paid for banning people, and the whole point of having a succesful server is to have people playing in it. So I think they don't give somebody a ban just for their own fun... I mean worse bans have been given? Chill out. I can think that it doesn't feel good to spend so much time trying to win something and then get disqualified but when you start your trip to the win, you gotta do it clean. Not apologising over 20 times in an hour for crashing other people out of the way of your big win. That kind of a win wouldn't even deserve a gratulation.
And no, I haven't read the posts below. |

RE: How TC-Administration influences GB3K
Robin.... you've been here a little over 2 weeks...
There are people in this community that have been here for 6+ years. What makes you think you can tell TC how they should manage their servers and their members? Everyone has their 'off moments' at TC and unfortunate for Vincent, he had his. There's no conspiracy to stop Vincent from participating, only routing issues. Whenever TC have investigated reports, they've always been very thorough in finding out what the facts are. TC have always been fair with their disciplinary action, taking into account the users previous history. Everyone makes mistakes, whether you learn from these mistakes is completely different. If a user is having to constantly say sorry for collisions then clearly that user needs to re-adjust their driving strategy. And if they persist, then TC will take action to remove the user, because constantly colliding with other users ruins their game play. How is that fair to these people? As for expecting to shutdown GB3K for you two, I'm in full agreement with Lamp calling it "Ludicrous". Several users couldn't connect but only you two cried about it. As Lamp stated, there was 2 full servers. Why should you be given special treatment? It's not an unreasonable question. F1 drivers can practice hard for days and get great qualifying times, just to be crashed out at the first corner. And these guys race for real money. BIG money. However, like these F1 drivers, you're just going to have to take a large bite out of reality, swallow hard and accept life. This entire situation could have been avoided if all the rules had been followed... that's why they exist. If your prepared to break rules then be prepared to accept the consequences. Finally, for someone in their mid twenties, you haven't really approached this situation with a mature level head. I suspect you're going to make fitting into this community and earning people's respect much harder for yourself when it doesn't have to be like that. Friendly advice: Settle down. Because your making a fool out of yourself. |
