I have to agree, it gets really annoying when a certain group of middle eastern players like to troll around the place, doing their highly illegal sport of attempting to drift from one side of the road to the other in a under powered fwd car with the most ridiculous setup and spraying the entire servers contents of tyres and railings and often their own car into the oncomming traffic.

My suggestion would be a higher usage of those red posts like on highstreet! They are high and red and still have a little psychological effect that you dont wrongway just for fun, still see the middle of the road easily, but incase of hits u dont get much damage or spin. |

I'm all up for trying something different, however it is highly unnecessary. Solid objects (barrier, armco) gets a bit boring and unrealistic if over used, which it would be here. If anything, i'd rather remove the objects before the armco, altogether.

I've always felt dodging barriers and tyres stacks was part of the whole chase. I would rather not see everything being solid tbh.

We're always playing on the same 6 tracks so after all the time you spent online you should know at which speed you take corners, So you pass them in the right speed and in the right line so you can avoid objects. I just have no idea how you still can dodge these tyres stacks =_= If peoples doesn't want solid objects, then take off the railings and replace them with cones. Atleast it won't harm other traffics. and also won't harm the nubis that break their cars due to not taking corners in the right way and crashing into barriers. |

how did we/you even get from "remove tirestacks and railings" to "solid dividing the lanes"?!
it was about how tires and railings damage cars, not about a solid wall. i have the feeling now everyone that is annoyed by tires n railings votes to have solid barrier all the way. thats just nonsense. first step would be to remove (some of the) tire stacks/railings. IF and only IF then suddenly people wrongway all over the place, what i seriously doubt cuz its working fine on highstreet, then and only then we/you could think about splitting lanes. And that also first of all as suggested by red poles, as stated above, pschological effect n stuff |

Voted against it. After all it is a City-Driving layout, so the focus should lie on that. You should be happy that we don't have pedestrians that ragdoll infront of your car, although i kinda like that idea.

What Barney said. Solid objects would just add to the possibility of COPs pitting suspects into it and flipping them. And a suspect could easily just wrongside, U turn, and possibly gain a big advantage over the COPs. The railings/tyre stacks stop people from wrongsiding and give a place to U turn both safely and in a chase, be it as suspect or COP.

I get that, but personally, I get more annoyed by following european drifters in XRT's than arabs in XFG's. The drifters send just the same about of objects flying about the place, most have little to no care for the rules beyond not getting banned. Arabs in XFGs are slow, easy to pass, and easy to avoid their carnage. Drifters in XRTs are slow in the corners, hard to pass in straights (I usually hammer round in an XFG, it's doable but you need to have a nice run through the turn to beat a drifter down any decent straight, that turbo!). Objects, solid or not are no bother to me. My number 1 issue is drifters who won't let a clearly faster moving car go, instead they take up all my road. |

Not entirely sure if it's possible to satisfy every possible individual on this community regarding this issue...LFS barrier physics should get fixed first.
I would love to see more real life stuff implemented, though I'm certain most of the people who have no knowledge how to drive in real life (in the traffic) won't bother trying to adapt, instead will cause trouble.. |

What about those who don't care either way? I'm one, and I'm outside the 100%? I'm just kidding around with you, but it's very much like the track layout itself, places there are solid barriers, others there are free-to-fly objects. If it was a solid barrier around the whole track in the middle, that would suck, if it was all free-to-fly objects, that too would suck. IMO, ofcourse. |
