As with CL22, we're running sprint races every Monday before each official round, they're open to everyone, even people not competing in CityLiga so head over to the CityLiga Sprint Races forum area to find out more!

Register on the CityLiga forums then nearer the time of Grid Quali, keep looking on the forums and you'll eventually see that sign ups are open. You then complete the sign up form on the site.

Once again, gridquali for CL will consist of two combinations. The first is the round 1 combination, TBO @ A21R, an open configuration consisting of bits of AS2R and AS3R. The second is the round 2 combination, Westhill International with the GT2s.

The second combo is loaded on [TC] Racing for people to practice. We'll switch between the two grid quali combos between now and the end of grid quali.

If anyone wants grid quali explaining then see the "Grid qualifying" section in tab II of the CityLiga rulebook.

You could join one of the burnout crew servers, but if you are gonna spend time practising i recommend you sign up.

Every participant will have exactly 10 laps on each combo to try and achieve the fastest possible lap time. Due to this restriction, the grid qualifying servers aren't exactly suited for practice laps, since exceeding the lap limit will be penalised as described in the regulations (at the latest after the end of GQ).

An attempt will be charged once the first split time is displayed on-screen! Until then, you're free to abort your attempt at any point (either with Shift+P/S or through the menu) without it being charged.

The number of already driven laps will be displayed in the tracker as well as in-game when you leave pit lane. Should something in this regard have gone wrong, please inform us as quickly as possible, either through posting here or by writing a PM! The responsibility to report problems lies solely with those affected by them!

On combinations with multiple car models, you will be free to switch between them. However, laps will not be charged per car, but as a whole! There is also no obligation to run the car you used to set your best time in grid-qualifying in the race that follows. Should a driver set lap times without handicaps in a car that must carry an air restrictor or added mass, those lap times will not be counted, but the attempts will still be charged!

Since this is also an official part of the season, do please follow the rules regarding in-game names, especially when it comes to driver numbers.

It isn't mandatory to participate in GQ, however, those who don't and do on top of that not have a Greencard will automatically be put on the waiting list, meaning that they do not have a guaranteed slot in a grid.

We always try to make sure that new sign-ups are added to the tracker as quickly as possible. However, this is not an automated process, it is done by hand and can therefor not always be done immediately. Even if your name has not been added to the tracker yet, you're free to drive your GQ laps at any point after signing up. The laps will be recorded in any case, even without being displayed in the tracker. They will be shown as soon as you've been added.
