Thanks Heart

Well , 1st cause I were bored and I want to know how is to skin on this car as Im not used to this PSD, and 2nd Scawen said that he will focus on tyres when he finish the mirrors , so , maybe the VWS is more near that the year we expected Tongue
But Scawen finishing tyres is about as likely as getting the Avro Vulcan in the sky again.

Nice work anyway! Tongue
Daddy's back and you know who he's repping.

Great paint mate!

Drawing a sketch is a good way to design IMO.
I would prefer to skin on a sheet of paper rather than on GIMP or Photoshop, much better with a pencil and a sheet of paper Biggrin, Looking great!
Recycling parts from old skins....

FXO has been finished and now, working on FZ5 version:

Alright, I come to you, as always with another issue. I'm currently working on an FZ5 skin and I've got a weird clipping issue with the door frame.

[Image: b71a042c38b40ecc4b258912d45082ba.png]

Any tips or tricks to fix this?
I don't get what is so weird about this. On the template, either you make the line on the 'top' of the skin skinnier, or, the line on the side of the skin wider!
iirc, the side stretching is 60% and the roof 90%.
Hem.. what kind of tip/trick do you need? What Yuki told only had work for me on 4096x size, there have been a link where every skin have their sizes, but I work on different resolution of it, so dont work for me, so, there is no one for them, you have to fix the size of the top or side layer step by step, checking it every time.

Or atleast its how I do it, line by line, for a great result. Thats the problem of how skin have to been done, cause you have to fix the clipping always and you can lost the patience/interest on it easily.

From other side, bit more of progress on the FZ5:

@Borja Nice skin. But the hood insignia looks stretched imo.
I work on the skins at 5120 x 4096 as per Bez's recommendation a couple years back and change to 4096/2048/1024. I just don't understand why it is stretching on the front half of the door, doesn't on the rear part;

Nice work, Borja. Always better and better everytime. Wink

Yeah, I've been reading through all of this and through the link you gave me, Borja but I've gained nothing from this. No clue :/
@DJ,

On the FZ5 the bottom and top body parts never match up. It's the way the skin file is, you will need to put in a bit of effort in to get them to match up nicely.
@Bez,
Ahh, alright then. Quick question though. Am I doing this correctly because other peoples skins look clearer and more refined than mine. I'm using the pen tool, making a line to where I wanna remove a section (say the doors, for example.) then stroking (right click, blablabla) and using the eraser as a way of stroking. I'm using one of the first ones on the list.
