RE: Corby layout change
Wasn't it against the rules for suspects to go through there via chases? I remember asking that to Adrian a good few months ago.

RE: Corby layout change
I remember that one of the Jamaica pit exits also has a ramp speedbump to prevent people from entering via that way. TBH, if I wanna go to the pit, and I drive an suv and no one else is affected by this, I might just consider going ww at that point. Unless oc I drive low sportscar that has small chance of making it over that bump
Btw, now that I think about it, shouldn't there also be such an "anti-ww bump" at the weston trackday map? To discourage people from entering the racetrack ww, which may actually cause problems for other people on the racetrack doing hotlaps. |

RE: Corby layout change
There's some curbs at westhill behind the villa at middle which you can only drive over using car with higher suspension and i haven't seen anyone have problem with them or requesting ramps to be added there so lower cars can clear them. I'm really not fan of suggestions like these because it removes cops having to think which car they can use to chase.

RE: Corby layout change
The issue is whether it is considered a stunt or not.
If a COP is unable to replicate what the suspect has done, it is unfortunate if the COP does not have the car or setup to enable them to do the same - for example when suspects alter their setup to play around in the sand (oh, how fun). If however there is a 'stunt', then the above point is irrelevant. Using the example of altering a setup to play in the sand - this is gaining an advantage - but still, the question is whether there has been a stunt - there has not been a 'stunt' to play in the sand, so there is no breach of the rules. Looking specifically at what a 'stunt' is, the rules only refer to one example 'climbing on fun structures' and in reference to the OP, this most definitely is not a 'fun structure'. So based on this specific interpretation of the rules (which is all there is to go off, without the rules providing any further examples), I do not think it can be considered as breaking the rules, even if there is an advantage - and so I go back to my original point, it is unfortunate if you cannot replicate what the suspect has been able to do with their setup and car choice. |

RE: Corby layout change
Even a FZ5 with an unreasonably high ride height is most likely to get stuck there, or clear the obstacle with severe shock damage at the very least.

RE: Corby layout change
Seems to be a pretty pointless obstacle anyway. I mean I've never actually seen someone going thru there in either direction so it may be removed aswell.
Maybe some zig-zag obstacle to slow down people would be better to avoid people doing surprise manoeuvres or drive thru at suicidal speeds. |
