Spark's edit works to be fair but it's all based on the same logo so it's basically the same and depending on where it's used you may need to add gradients and a contrasting colour to the chequered flag.

This, our skins have all been with a dark background, and will be in the future so if we were to use the logo Spark provided, we would need to either put the logo on something bright, or do what you said.

Spark's logo would work just fine on a dark background, so it wouldn't force you to use skins with a light background. The checkered flag already has a contrasting colour, what Pete was saying was about the logo('s) in general.

Yes KaraK. Toni, imagine a case where you wanted to place the logo on a light background, you would need to use a dark logo or give it one hell of a drop shadow which doesn't always work. You need a logo for dark backgrounds and one for light backgrounds.
