RE: New gaming wheel
G27 is fine, and I'm sure the G25 and G29 is too. HOWEVER Thrustmaster are on another level, but the prices are too (except G29 which is totally wrongly priced) - I've loved the G27 I've had since 2010, but if I ever upgrade it'll be for some high end Thrustmaster stuff instead.

RE: New gaming wheel
Thanks a lot. Idk if its me, or it could be that wheels or oher parts breaks after heavy use, like copping and etc.. Won't they last longer if play "calm" games like ets2?

RE: New gaming wheel
If you look after it, it'll last a few years at least. Most have 1 or 2 year warranties anyway.

RE: New gaming wheel
Being honest, I really like my G27. I got my first one back in October 2012 (first time I got S2, and consequently first time I joined TC also ).
My first one had a few issues, namely the x-axis potentiometer on the shifter failed, and also had all three pedals spiking. The pot failed around April 2013, and the pedal spiking happened around the end of June 2013. My experience with Logitech support was pretty good though, they sent out a new unit no questions asked, didn't ask for the broken one back, and also gave me a 35% off voucher for any of their products. The replacement one they gave me is the one I've been using since, and I've had next to no issues whatsoever with it. I've had to clean the pedal pots twice, but that's it. My only complaint as of late though, is I've noticed while I'm playing LFS that if I try to pull away slowly in 1st, sometimes the car will jump out of gear. I'm just putting that down to the XRT's gearbox being shit because I'm dogging 1st in it on every crossroads in Westhill even though realistically it's probably just some more potentiometers that need cleaning! Summed up, my experience with my G27(s) had been nothing but positive, even when the SHTF with the first one. With some of the offers I'd seen on the G27 recently though, it looks to me like the best bang for buck wheel you can buy. Sure, it's definitely not the best wheel you can buy today, but it's an entry-level(ish) wheel I think you should definitely consider. |
