RE: Malaysia Airlines Plane 'Crashes In Vietnam'
This is terrible. Nobody should experience such a thing.. and no family should endure such trauma.
I hope at least something can be gained from this. Perhaps these countries will be more careful with Passports from now on? |

No link has yet been found between the passengers with the stolen passports and the crash (if, indeed, the plane has crashed). Passengers using stolen passports is relatively common in the region, according to BBC News. |

Day four and still no confirmation of any findings of debris.
Malaysian police is now investigating a range of theories including hijacking and sabotage, but also any possible psychological problems of those on board. An interesting theory from one of the B777 pilots: |

Lol is so funny to see all these people speculating over the craziest theories, hence there is absolutely no evidence to either support or oppose such theories, yet they are considered and discussed. I could also say it got hit by a meteor since the evidence for that is just as present as for the other ones. However, common sense and statistics would say it was a technical defect. But that doesn't fill newspapers, does it?

RE: Malaysia Airlines Plane 'Crashes In Vietnam'
Well, Boeing 777 doesn't crash everyday, I find it normal that people are interested in such cases.
You're most probably right though, but it must of been one hell of a technical defect, for a plane like that to dissapear out of nowhere. It's one of the safest airplanes there is, with a strong safety record. If it crashed, you'd think that they would find at least one piece of something after four days. It's probably hard to understand how huge the ocean really is, but still. Anyway, I just feel sorry for their families and friends, who are living in uncertainty and probably hoping for a miracle. |

Yeh the ocean is indeed huge, afaik they were just halfway between mainlands, probably the reason that there was no radio contact.

RE: Malaysia Airlines Plane 'Crashes In Vietnam'
Radar and radio isn't very effective over oceans. The Atlantic has interesting borders and such between FAA and ICAO. I find it somewhat funny that in this day in age any aircraft crash everyone freaks out and assumes terrorism. Aviation has probably the best safety requirements of any transport method in use today. I forget how low the American ratio is! But it was unreal!
I'm an ATC major can't wait to be in the field. |

Lol I did that yesterday, processed like 1500 tiles, found nothing but 2 vessels. But god knows what part of the ocean that actually is.

RE: Malaysia Airlines Plane 'Crashes In Vietnam'
You can't believe anything these days. Those news people only want to get clicks by presenting yet another theory every day. There's no difference to Swedish newspapers then ours or in any other country. They pay ex-NTSB employees, pilots, terrorists or anyone else to support their stories.
Fact is, they all don't know anything until the plane is found. |

RE: Malaysia Airlines Plane 'Crashes In Vietnam'
Though it's has been denied that the plane was flying west of Malaysia the other day, they now say it must have been the missing plane. Apparently multiple radars tracked it. This article puts it nicely: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/15/world/...ar.html?hp
However, the yellow press is already shouting "it must have been hijacked", everything else would be speculation lol |

Very weird.. Why wouldn't they send some birds up to try and communicate with the aircraft..

RE: Malaysia Airlines Plane 'Crashes In Vietnam'
It's a bit weird, that no satellites or military radars wouldn't have been able to follow it. Maybe they know where it is, or what happened, but for some reason can't tell the media/public about it?
