This seems like a really cool idea. It sounds like a lot of fun. I have one thing. Would police be more invested in the bank robbery and then if other laws are broken would the police chase other people because they would just wait for a bank robbery?
Besides that it would be a really cool thing introduced to TC. |

undoubtedly an awesome idea, and hard to oppose considering it shouldn't be way too hard to implement, and would make the cops and criminals scene more exciting.
although i majorly agree with the terms Vilix offered in his idea, i disagree with the cooldown. personally, i would make this like a 2 time per week event, maybe even one, as it would make this more special. Ery noice |

Hello everyone, thanks again for all the support and voting so far, really happy with the feedback! Another update from me to address some of the comments and concerns people had:
1.Turning TC into GTA: I realize a lot of people might associate a bank robbery heist with chaos and GTA type roleplay, however I thought of the idea on purpose to avoid that style of gameplay. You are not physically taking a gun and taking hostages or anything, the bank robbery itself would simply be the same as stealing from a player. You type a command, and you wait a little bit. The part that follows AFTER the robbery would resemble a MAYDAY type chase that an admin occasionally can trigger. Think of it like a BabyDriver situation 2.Even more wrong-waying from cops and suspects, more chaos on the streets: I agree with this, it is likely that if the idea is implemented then there will be more wrong-waying or careless driving from everyone taking part in the robbery/chase given the nature of the event having high rewards. I think this is sadly unavoidable, but there are some things in place to help mitigate the damages. For instance, there could be an explicit warning to be careful during the chase, and as I suggested that only people with certain amounts of XP could start the robbery means that more experienced players would lead the chase, who are probably more careful. (probably). 3.Police are too invested into the robbery and disregard other crimes: This is a valid point, but I think this shouldn't be a big issue. Just like in real life, a big event like a bank robbery would get priority over a speeding fine for instance, so it's natural for cops to change their priority. To stop people from leaving chases, perhaps a condition for starting the heist is that a certain amount of cops are available (aka. not in a chase). The robbery also would not be a frequent event, therefore cops leaving chases etc. should not happen very often. 4.Cooldown timer being much longer: I agree with this too, my initial comment was just a placeholder for ideas but the more I've thought about it the more it makes sense to have a large cooldown. Bank robberies are not everyday events, nor should they be grindable by players, so a long cooldown would help keep the servers peaceful and keeping the robbery a special ingame event that occurs once in a while. There's no direct feedback from TC team and Chuck yet, however I'm hopeful the support on this thread shows it would be a nice addition |

Hello Villix,
I've got an idea for the "chaos" situation, Just automate a message that pop up on your screen like the big "siren" when a cop are near you (example of what tip of big message so ppl can't complain about "oh i haven't seen the message") When the chase of the heist is starting (when the timer of the robbery is done and when the chase start) so every ppl in the server knows their a heist and can be more carefull ? i just put this here. I think this is a good idea, with such big rewards you would need to make extra sure it can't be manipulated. I think it will take a while to develop and introduce, and would that appetite still be there after that?

I really like this idea But how will it be regulated?
In terms of car selection, will/should it be restricted to a certain group of vehicles fit to conduct a bank robbery? For example I don't feel like having a koenigsegg be the "getaway driver" it's not realistic nor fun. But I really like the "Risk & Reward", either a great payout for the robbers or very bad things. What about the COP's? Should they get extra rewards for catching the robber? |

on CLC when you drive into the bank without a red officer online. bank robbery is closed.
this could be made with a TC admin should be online to open for the bank robbery or a police chief. also cadet cops are not allowed to go for bank robbers alone. there has to be a higher ranked officer present at all times while robbery is ongoing. on CLC there has to be one chief and i think 4 other cops to be able to rob the bank. at the time you enter the bank nothing happens. in insim you then type !rob (on CLC) and a timer loading the cash on to the vehicle starts. and this is also when cops gets an alert that a bank robbery is in progress and even if cops are in chase they have to disengage anyone to fully go after the bank robbery suspect(s). but still within cop rules , however on CLC theres no mercy on robbing the bank. cops can go full rampage on you if you wont give up. which leads to some incredible getaway chases of epic proportions. this could also be made like a choice, such as cops in chase while robbery occur, can stay in that chase. could maybe join the robbey chase later on making it even more difficult for the suspect to get away having totalled some cop cars already forcing them to leave chase. by having other cops to join later would make it really hard to rob the bank i think. and i think luck would play a huge role in most robbery´s. i cant really remember but if you made the robbery and you get out of sight from all cops i think CLC timer is 10 min you have to stay away from all cops out of range. then you get paid. but its alot of time 10 min during a chase fullblown. in CLC most banks are located near center of maps unless impossible, like if oob area is located in the center of a map. but i would suggest them to be using an already made default building with some objects for entering / exit in regard to some comments above.
