The german word most used in this context is "arglistige Täuschung" [moral fraud]. So if you know that something is seriously wrong with your car, you are under a moral obligation to tell the buyer so.

And even if it is legal in sweden, it would still make the person a huge scumbag for doing it.

I guess this is slightly culture dependent as well, in Finland it's more surprising to buy a car like this with no hidden or unmentioned problems Biggrin

Out of 5 cars I've owned one was completely "as advertised" although overall I've had really good luck with my cars compared to most of my friends.

 


