Bonus System Discussion

So if i'm reading the Update right, bonuses have been removed completely now, except that after 50km when the income per five seconds is increased by 1. And the reason for this is that the old bonus system gave you incentive to speed because it was based on distance, no?

At the time when this bonus system was put in place we had the old r/w barriers that would fling people OOB upon collision and thus this system encouraged people to be more careful and not fling other people OOB..

What if we came up with a new system that rewarded safe driving without rewarding speeding? EG. Time based bonuses as opposed to distance (as long as you are moving) and it resets say you have a 'heavy collision' with somebody?

I just think that the original idea of having a system that encourages safe driving should not be forgotten, but maybe a better way of implementing it is possible?
