Basic Training - 3losh
Training Information:
Took place on: 02/08/2017 Trainer(s) Present: Carl [T], Sonic [T] Assistance Present: Angel [CA] Lead Trainer: Carl [T] Good Points: Initiated the chase well, used all the correct binds and used strobes/sirens. Good car control overall, performed some good PITs when given the chance. Improvements: Your PITs need improvement. You were rushing too much despite being told to take your time. You were fighting with the suspect too much instead of taking your time to position a PIT properly like you were able to do in the training session. Remember to match your speed and use an appropriate angle to put some force into your PITs. Because of this, there was a lot of unnecessary force being used. Practice giving yourself time and space to perform a good PIT instead of trying multiple times without much success. I could see that if you failed an attempt, you would drive from the grass and try again instead of regaining full control of your car first. On two occasions your reactions were sometimes late. At the hillside road junction you were following the suspect too close and you were unable to steer in the same direction as the suspect. Again, don't rush for maneuvers and look ahead to see what the suspect is doing and where he could go. You need to demonstrate that you can chase the suspect safely. Because of this, you lost a lot of ground on the suspect. If you do lose sight of the suspect, make sure you are glancing at your map because during the final chase the suspect turned right but you turned left which allow the suspect to gain even more distance. It's really important that you keep looking at the map every so often. Unfortunately the chase ended when you pitted the suspect against a barrier which severely damage his car and flipped him onto his roof. You need to be aware of the objects around you before you perform a PIT, if it's not safe to do so you need to wait for a better opportunity. I know you never meant to do it, but you were clearly rushing the maneuvers without much thought behind them. Notes: Feel free to re-apply in 7 days. Sorry, you have failed Basic Training. Please feel free to apply again. You must wait a minimum of 7 days before reapplying. Thanks! The [TC] Training Team |
