To be honest I think the speed limit is fine as it is. Just because it's a straight doesn't mean you have to raise the speed limit to account for foot heavy people.
Don't forget people are pulling in and out of the parking bays and you are not forced to follow the limit, leaving it at 75 mph also allows the speeders to overtake the cruisers too
